"The present doctoral thesis provides the review, editing, and study of 27 'relaciones de sucesos' and other brief pamphlets written around the four marriages of King Philip II, occurring chronologically, with Doña María Manuela de Portugal in 1543, the English queen Mary Tudor in 1554, Doña Isabel de Valois in 1559, and his niece Anne of Austria in 1570."
