E-BORESU nº 8

The double weddings celebrated between the Crowns of France and the Hispanic Monarchy were a tremendously relevant event. If a union between the most powerful states of the moment always was, the rapprochement in a moment of peace between both kingdoms made the occasion even more remarkable. One of the most widespread elements of this propaganda was the event reports, which will be the object of study of this work, in order to analyze what messages the monarchy tried to spread through them.
