This paper studies how different texts informing readers of the double royal weddings that took place in 1599, coded the presence and participation of the general public in this court festivity, as well as how this public’s gaze was able to gain access to spaces and moments traditionally prohibited to those who were not part of the court, thanks to the dynamics of the editorial market.
