It´s topical to place the beginning of sevillian journalism with the first newspapers of the second half of the 18th century. On the contrary, since the beginning of this century and continuing the important journalistic development of the last third of the seventeenth, populate the market a lot of gazettes and news pamphlets. This communication presents a corpus of printed matter representative of Seville’s production in the context of the publication on the War of Succession. The objective is to identify the most active printers and establish a typology of informative papers, with their characteristics and priorities at each stage of the conflict.
